What is Payment Threshold?
The payment threshold is the minimum amount of earnings a publisher must accumulate before the ad network issues a payout. For example, if a network has a $100 threshold, publishers must earn at least $100 before getting paid. This policy helps ad networks manage transaction costs and verify traffic quality. Payment thresholds vary by network and payment method (e.g., PayPal, bank transfer, crypto).
Some networks offer lower thresholds for trusted publishers or faster payment cycles for premium partners. Publishers need to understand a network’s payment terms, including thresholds, payout frequency (weekly, net-30, etc.), and eligible payment methods. Thresholds also protect networks from fraud by preventing payouts for low or unverified traffic.
