What is CPI or Cost per Installation?

CPI (Cost per Installation) is a metric used in mobile app marketing. It measures the cost advertisers pay for each app installation driven by their ad campaigns. In simple terms, it’s how much money you spend to get someone to install your app. If you spend $100 on ads and get 50 installs, your CPI is $2 ($100 ÷ 50 installs). Advertisers use CPI to gauge the efficiency of their ad spending.
